About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time, unarmed Security Officer Driver Patrol Service in Pomona, California, serving a retail location. The role involves driving and conducting patrols to help safeguard the site, deter security-related incidents, and provide welcoming customer service to shoppers, visitors, and store personnel. The position requires a valid driver’s license. The stated pay rate is $19.00 per hour.

The schedule is Monday 12:00 PM–6:00 PM, Tuesday 4:00 PM–12:00 AM, Friday 12:00 PM–6:00 PM, Saturday 12:00 PM–6:00 PM, and Sunday 12:00 PM–6:00 PM. Applicants must meet the listed age and education requirements and will be subject to a background investigation and drug screen as permitted by law. Licensing requirements may apply under state or local law.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license, in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to shoppers, visitors, and store personnel by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and carrying out emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the retail sales floor, entrances, parking areas, loading areas, and perimeter.
• Respond calmly to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, policy violations, hazards, and maintenance concerns to store contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Assist with access control, delivery monitoring, and crowd management during busy shopping periods, promotions, and special events.
