About The Position
ABL Wholesale Distributors has proudly served retailers across Ohio, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia for over 50 years. As we continue to grow, we're seeking a driven and relationship-focused Sales Representative to join our team and manage the Mahoning and Shenango Valley area. This role is ideal for a motivated individual with strong sales skills, a customer-first mindset, and the ability to both grow new accounts and nurture existing ones. You'll report directly to the Sales Manager.
Requirements
- 2+ years of sales and relationship-building experience
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Professional, dependable, and proactive attitude
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office 365
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 lbs
Nice To Haves
- AS400 experience is a plus
Responsibilities
- Identify and sign new customers through cold calling and prospecting
- Grow existing customer accounts with regular visits and weekly check-ins
- Present new product opportunities and review weekly promotional flyers
- Provide training on ordering systems and support tools
- Act as the communication bridge between ABL and retail clients
- Maintain accurate records of customer visits and orders
- Troubleshoot and resolve customer issues promptly
- Coordinate participation and customer registration for the Annual Trade Show
- Participate in monthly sales meetings
