About The Position

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
• At least 1 year of supply chain, inventory, or manufacturing experience.
• Ability to pass an Air Force background check for Cape Canaveral.
• Ability to work Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
• Ability to work at elevated heights.
• Ability to work in extreme outdoor environments, including heat, cold, and rain.
• Ability to work in an environment involving exposure to fumes, odors, and noise.
• Willingness to operate machinery such as forklifts and loaders when needed.
• Availability for overtime and weekends as schedules vary with site operational needs; flexibility is required.
• Ability and availability to travel up to 20% of the time, including to military and government installations.
• Must meet U.S. Government export-control eligibility requirements: be a U.S. citizen or national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee, or be eligible to obtain required U.S. Department of State authorizations.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of MRP/ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
• Associate degree in a business or technology field.
• Experience in aerospace, automotive, semiconductor, or electronic manufacturing.
• Experience operating forklifts.
• APICS certification.

Responsibilities

• Create inventory requests based on production work orders and replacement parts.
• Maintain production schedules by coordinating planning and shortage management in production builds.
• Ensure parts are handled and protected properly and in accordance with SpaceX specifications.
• Coordinate with engineers and technicians on releasing work orders for build.
• Reconcile work order bill-of-material quantities.
• Maintain the integrity of company computer systems and help resolve incorrect system data that could drive inappropriate demand or schedules or cause general failure.
• Verify received materials against accompanying paperwork, checking for damage, part numbers, quantities, and revisions before releasing work orders to production.
• Work with production customers to determine priority and schedule requirements.
• Assist materials management leadership and project teams with action-item updates as required.
• Communicate part status and estimated completion dates to leadership upon request.
• Assist production teams with corrective actions.
• Support logistics through innovative workflow staging.
• Perform de-kitting operations and manage the return-to-stock process.
• Support productivity improvement.
