About The Position

The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for reviewing technical documentation for accuracy and compliance, managing Provisioning Contract Control Numbers (PCCNs), investigating and documenting issues with Allowance Parts Lists (APLs), and ensuring PCCNs/Design Change Notices (DCNs) are properly incorporated into published APLs. This role involves uploading drawings and technical data, reviewing and uploading Lowest Replaceable Unit (LRU) reports, assisting the Supply Support Lead with a master provisioning tracker, participating in supply/provisioning meetings, and interfacing with Source Providers to ensure timely delivery of source data. The specialist will also track feedback from NAVSUP and DLA for incorporation and review APLs for consistency across baselines.

Requirements

  • BS and 2-4 years experience, MS and 0-2 years experience
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
  • Self-starter with the ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure the accuracy and completeness of records.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members and interface with customers professionally.
  • Eagerness to learn, adapt, and grow in a dynamic work environment.
  • Demonstrates accountability, reliability, and a results-driven mindset.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and able to quickly learn and navigate specialized databases.

Nice To Haves

  • Fleet submarine experience.
  • Fleet experience in submarine fire control systems across multiple platforms, and Naval Supply System processes is highly desired.
  • Former submarine fire control technician experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Review of technical documentation for accuracy and compliance in accordance with existing checklists.
  • Review Provisioning Contract Control Numbers (PCCNs) generated by Source Providers and return feedback, as necessary.
  • Investigation and documentation of issues with existing Allowance Parts Lists (APLs) as reported from Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), including both internal reviews and/or external integrator reviews, as necessary.
  • Generate PCCNs/ Design Change Notices (DCNs) as necessary following investigations.
  • Ensure PCCNs/DCNs are properly incorporated into published APLs.
  • Upload drawings & technical data to a shared repository to support APL development and knowledge sharing with Navy Supply (NAVSUP) personnel.
  • Review/ upload Lowest Replaceable Unit (LRU) reports provided by integrators for accuracy against PCCN deliveries and expected changes.
  • Assist the Supply Support Lead in the management of the master provisioning tracker for all PCCN development.
  • Participate in and provide detailed status updates in Supply/ Provisioning meetings as required.
  • Positively interface with Source Providers to ensure source is being provided on time in accordance with the master provisioning tracker and/or expected fleet requirements.
  • Track feedback provided by NAVSUP and Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) for incorporation, reviewing all system APLs for applicability to ensure changes are consistent across baselines.
