About The Position

The Procurement Specialist (Central Region) develops and executes sourcing strategies to optimize company spending, improve supplier performance, ensure continuity of supply, mitigate commercial risk, and deliver measurable value to Diversified Energy Company’s operations. The role serves as a trusted business partner to regional operations teams, leading strategic sourcing initiatives, managing key supplier relationships, negotiating commercial agreements, identifying value-creation opportunities, and supporting safe, reliable, and cost-effective operations across the designated Central Region.

Sourcing and supplier/vendor management may cover water hauling services; chemicals and treating products; compression services; lubricants and coolants; MRO materials; rental equipment; construction services; environmental services; transportation and logistics services; capital project materials and services; workover and drilling support services; and field services. The position is assigned a company vehicle and is expected to operate out of DEC office locations in Weatherford, Oklahoma, and/or Kingfisher, Oklahoma.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Procurement, Supply Chain, or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of Procurement or Supply Chain experience.
• At least 3 years of Oil & Gas industry or energy sector experience.
• Experience leading strategic sourcing initiatives and cross-functional sourcing teams.
• Experience developing RFPs and RFQs, conducting competitive bid events, evaluating proposals, negotiating contracts, and managing supplier relationships.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to travel within the designated working territory.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, and data analysis.

Nice To Haves

• Experience negotiating Master Service Agreements.
• Experience with supplier performance management programs.
• Experience with Power BI and dashboards.
• Experience with Open Ticket, Open Invoice, Grafana, Wellview, and ISN.
• Professional certification such as CPSM, CPM, CPSD, or equivalent.
