About The Position

The Leonardo DRS Land Electronics business is seeking a Part-Time Senior Pricing Analyst to join their Land Electronics team in Melbourne, FL. This role involves reviewing requests for proposals, collaborating with internal organizations to determine anticipated labor and overhead rates, material requirements, equipment costs, and possible bid strategies. The analyst will also be responsible for analyzing estimates against previous cost experience and recommending adjustments, and may participate in the negotiation of contract proposals. A key aspect of the role is providing guidance to the team and senior management on new business cost proposals, including counsel on RFP, FAR, CAS, and disclosure compliance issues. The position requires establishing and coordinating schedules, monitoring and escalating problems, developing cost/price models, assisting with pricing cost narratives, price strategy, risk assessment, business case analysis, and preparing/presenting management briefings. Additionally, the Senior Pricing Analyst will support, communicate, reinforce, and defend the mission, values, and culture of the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance with 8+ years directly related experience, preferably in a government contracting environment (or equivalent combination of education/training and experience)

Responsibilities

  • Review requests for proposals to identify and assist the proposal team in developing responses
  • Work with internal organizations to determine anticipated labor and overhead rates, material requirements, equipment costs, and possible bid strategies
  • Analyze estimates against previous cost experience and recommend adjustments
  • May participate in the negotiation of contract proposals
