About The Position

Requirements

• Physical ability to perform repetitive and/or physical tasks, like moving tables and chairs, lifting heavy objects, standing/walking for extended periods.
• Lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
• Move furniture, equipment, etc. up to 100 lbs with assistance.
• Ascend and descend ladders and stairs.
• Regularly access low/high spaces that may be at irregular angles.
• Operate computer and office equipment, including coffee maker, water filters/machines, laptop, mouse, copy machine, meeting room equipment.
• Be standing and walking for most of the day with 2-3 breaks per day.
• Maintain concentration and focus in a busy environment.
• Work in loud, chaotic environments and/or in crowds during community events.
• Basic “Handy-person” skills: Ability to operate basic mechanical equipment, maintenance skills and ability to troubleshoot minor issues.
• Attention to detail: Ensure specific cleanliness and organizational standards, and ensuring event setups are precise and on brand.
• Teamwork: Collaborating with other 25N staff.
• Flexibility + Independence: Adapting to changing space and event requirements.
• Customer service skills: Responding to member and guest needs and providing assistance with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the coworking space.
• Ensure common areas are kept tidy and well-maintained.
• Provide facilities oversight for meetings and events.
• Set up and break down event spaces.
• Move furniture, equipment, and supplies.
• Arrange tables, chairs, stages, and decorations for events.
• Lift and move heavy items as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized environment during events.
• Provide customer service to members and guests.
• Respond to event-related requests and address minor issues.
• Greet visitors and provide general guidance within the space.
• Assist with guest flow and direct attendees.
• Respond to member and guest requests and concerns related to facilities and services.
• Open and close the space when needed.
• Set up audio-visual equipment.
• Hang signs and decorations.
• Prepare catering areas.
• Set up coffee/water stations.
• Disassemble event setups.
• Remove and store furniture and equipment.
• Clean up and re-stage rooms after events.
• Perform minor repairs such as paint touch-ups, replacing light bulbs, adjusting hinges, repairing furniture, and changing water filters.
• Hang pictures.
• Maintain and restock supplies in kitchen, meeting rooms, copy room, bathrooms, and other areas.
• Inspect for potential maintenance issues and report them.
• Vacuum or sweep floors.
• Empty trash cans and recycling bins.
• Wipe down furniture and surfaces.
• Load/empty the dishwasher and hand-wash dishes.
• Clean and tidy bathrooms.
• Spot clean as needed.
