About The Position

Valley View Hospital is seeking a full-time Payroll Analyst to assist our Fiscal Department. This crucial position is responsible for accurately processing payroll and maintaining computer timekeeping and payroll files. The Payroll Specialist also completes additional accounting and computer functions as assigned and backs up other staff members within the department. This position is based in our Silt Office Building in Silt, CO. Located between Aspen and Vail, along the Colorado River, Glenwood Springs is a mecca for outdoor adventures in our beautiful mountains. When you are looking to relax, we also have the largest hot springs pool in the world. As a community with a population of about 10,000, Glenwood Springs is an ideal size. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Two to three years in payroll background required.
  • Good computer skills required.
  • 10-key adding machine skills required.
  • Organization skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Analytical mindset.
  • Problem-solving aptitude
  • Capability to consistently perform processing steps and/or analytics on large volumes of data effectively.

Nice To Haves

  • Accredited College Degree in Business or Accounting with an IT emphasis
  • Experience working with an organizational wide financial system such as Kronos, UKG, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Meditech, Epic, other etc.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately processes payroll and maintains payroll files.
  • Completes additional accounting and computer functions as assigned and backs up other staff members within the department.
  • Serves as a process owner, proactively identifying and implementing payroll process improvements and automation initiatives.
