Certified Union Payroll Specialist
About The Position
The Payroll Analyst will support payroll operations with specialized expertise in certified payroll, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local prevailing wage laws, particularly under the Davis-Bacon Act. The role is responsible for timely, accurate, and complete certified payroll reporting for public and government-funded projects, as well as payroll processing, reconciliation, auditing, data entry, tax calculations, and accounting duties. This contract-to-hire position is based in Houston, Texas, with a hybrid schedule of four days in the office and one predetermined day working from home after the first 90 days. The stated pay range is $31.73–$32.69 per hour. Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience in certified payroll.
- Proficiency in certified payroll processes.
- Expertise with payroll systems such as Paycom.
- Experience with union payroll and construction industry payroll.
- Strong reconciliation and auditing skills.
- Knowledge of payroll tax and accounting principles.
