Under the direction of the Project Manager, Project Executive, or VP of Construction, the Assistant Project Manager is responsible for assisting with the overall project planning and scheduling, resource allocation, project accounting, and document control. This role also involves providing technical direction and ensuring compliance with quality standards, project planning, cost management, time management, contract administration, code compliance, and safety. The Assistant Project Manager will assist in charting project objectives and plans, setting performance requirements, and selecting project participants. Furthermore, they will help optimize the utilization of labor, materials, and equipment, ensuring their procurement at the most cost-effective terms, assist in implementing various operations through proper coordination, and aid in developing effective communications and mechanisms for resolving conflicts among project participants.
