About The Position

Haven Home Care is hiring Home Health Aides in Summit County, Ohio. The position offers multiple paths to start, including for those with an STNA license, an HHA certificate, 1+ year of supervised experience under an RN or LPN, or for individuals brand new to caregiving through a free training program. All paths lead to the same job, clients, and support. The role involves assisting older adults in their homes with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, meal preparation, light cleaning, errands, and companionship. It is a physically demanding job requiring movement and being on your feet. The company emphasizes pay growth through a raise system, building real relationships with consistent clients, and opportunities for bonuses and referrals. While the company does not offer PTO, 401k, or health insurance, it provides a W-2 position with paid drive time between clients and direct deposit.

Requirements

  • Driver's license
  • Your own car with insurance that covers work driving
  • Pass background checks
  • Work at least 20 hours/week
  • Available between 6AM-8PM (most work is 8AM-5PM)
  • Legal right to work in the US
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Pass a competency test (written questions and skills demonstration, 80% on both parts) OR have an active or expired STNA license OR have an HHA certificate (30+ hours, signed by RN unless completed online) OR have 1+ year of experience at one company where your supervisor was an RN or LPN.
  • If brand new to caregiving, complete a free 32-hour online HHA training course within 6 days.

Responsibilities

  • Go to people's homes and help with daily life, mostly older adults.
  • Assist with baths, getting dressed, meals, light cleaning, errands, and companionship.
  • Help people move around and be on your feet most of the day.
  • Follow company policies.
  • Accept clients that match the limits you provide.
  • Report incidents within 24 hours.
  • Get good feedback from clients.
  • Answer office calls and texts quickly.
  • Send updated documents when requested (insurance, license, training).
  • Complete feedback forms when sent.
  • Be on time for shifts.
  • Clock in and out using the app or phone.
  • Follow call-off procedures if unable to make a shift.
