About The Position
Empowered Heroes Inclusive Therapy is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to work with children and adults with special needs. The role uses creative, play-based, and functional interventions to enhance motor skills, sensory processing, self-care abilities, independence, confidence, and overall quality of life. The center emphasizes supporting families, celebrating milestones, and providing therapists with flexibility and independence in a supportive environment.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current state Illinois license as an Occupational Therapist.
- 2+ years of experience working with a variety of patient populations.
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of occupational therapy principles and techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients' physical, cognitive, and psychosocial needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Provide therapeutic interventions to improve patients' functional abilities.
- Educate patients and their families on self-care and injury prevention.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
