Within the context of a patient/client and family-centred framework and continuum-based care model and in accordance with established standards of professional practice and the vision, values and policies of the organization, this role coordinates the designated program offering occupational and psychiatric rehabilitation services and peer support to identified clients. This includes supervising staff, establishing priorities, and coordinating work assignments. The coordinator monitors and evaluates program service outcomes, discusses evaluations and clarifies performance expectations with staff, coordinates staff selection, and acts as a clinical resource for team members and students. The role also promotes interdisciplinary collaboration, provides assessment and treatment services including crisis intervention as needed, and offers consultative and direct services to clients, families, staff, and community health professionals. Additionally, the coordinator maintains client records, budget information, statistical records, and reports. They coordinate on-going team planning, evaluation, and quality improvement activities, participate in approved research, and engage in and/or lead internal and external committees, meetings, and/or corporate initiatives.
