About The Position

NHC HomeCare Murrells Inlet is seeking an Occupational Therapist to supervise and participate in implementing occupational therapy techniques to rehabilitate patients with physical disabilities, injuries, or diseases. The Occupational Therapist coordinates and supervises occupational therapy services and provides treatment as ordered by the referring physician. The role delegates appropriate portions of treatment programs to licensed Occupational Therapy Assistants and instructs staff on delegated functions, precautions, special problems, contraindications, anticipated progress, goals, and re-evaluation plans. The Occupational Therapist evaluates, plans, and supervises treatments and programs, establishes physician-approved short- and long-term patient goals, and conducts periodic re-evaluations.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy course certified by the American Occupational Therapy Association.
• Registered under the statutes of the state in which the Occupational Therapist will practice.

Nice To Haves

• Active membership in the State and National Occupational Therapy Associations is preferred.

Responsibilities
