About The Position

Powerback is hiring an Occupational Therapist to provide in-facility occupational therapy. The role assesses patient needs, develops recovery plans, and delivers individualized therapy to restore, reinforce, and enhance patients’ physical abilities, independence, and productivity. The Occupational Therapist considers each patient as an individual, adapts care to patient needs, collaborates with peers, and makes referrals when appropriate. The role also involves teaching patients and caregivers skills that promote independence.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in an occupational therapy curriculum accredited by ACOTE standards.
Initial registration from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy.
Valid and unencumbered occupational therapy license as required in the state of practice.

Responsibilities

Assess patient needs.
Develop patient recovery plans.
Deliver occupational therapy.
Design programs to restore, reinforce, and enhance patients’ physical abilities and independence.
Collaborate with peers and make referrals to help patients access needed care.
Train patients and caregivers in skills that promote independence and productivity.
