About The Position
HealthPro Pediatrics is hiring an Occupational Therapist for its outpatient pediatric and ABA clinic in Hampton, Virginia. The clinic provides pediatric therapy and ABA services in one setting, supporting children with a range of abilities and support needs. The role involves delivering pediatric occupational therapy, working with a multidisciplinary team, and helping children and families achieve meaningful milestones. The position offers a flexible Monday–Friday schedule within clinic hours of 8 AM–6 PM. Full-time and part-time arrangements are available. Compensation is up to $55 per hour. Full-time hires are eligible for a $5,000 sign-on or relocation bonus and benefits that include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time off. The organization also offers free continuing education units, mentorship, and supervision.
Requirements
- Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist, or eligibility to obtain licensure.
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
- Proficiency in developing and implementing effective treatment plans.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to lift and assist patients as needed.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks related to therapy.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate clients’ physical, emotional, and cognitive abilities using observations and standardized tools.
- Create personalized treatment plans to meet clients’ goals and enhance their functional abilities.
- Educate clients and their families about improving daily activities, including adaptive equipment and environmental modifications.
- Maintain accurate records of evaluations, progress, and treatment plans in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
- Advocate for clients’ needs and support access to community resources, services, and accommodations.
- Provide pediatric occupational therapy services in a clinic-based setting.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team that includes ABA and therapy professionals.
- Support children and families in reaching meaningful milestones.
