Occupational Therapist (OT)
About The Position
HealthPro Heritage is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Part-Time Occupational Therapist to work at Franklin Manor, an assisted living setting in Youngsville, North Carolina. The schedule is Monday through Friday for approximately 15 hours per week. Starting pay is $50 or more per hour, with consideration for higher rates based on experience and availability for coverage. Part-time benefits include a 401(k) retirement plan and free access to CEU360 online continuing education. The position involves evaluating clients' physical, emotional, and cognitive abilities; developing personalized treatment plans; educating clients and families; documenting evaluations and progress; and advocating for clients’ needs. Requirements
- Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist, or license eligibility.
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
- Proficiency in developing and implementing effective treatment plans.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to lift and assist patients as needed.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks related to therapy.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate clients' physical, emotional, and cognitive abilities using observations and standardized tools.
- Create personalized treatment plans to meet clients' goals and enhance their functional abilities.
- Educate clients and their families on improving daily activities, including the use of adaptive equipment and environmental modifications.
- Maintain accurate records of evaluations, progress, and treatment plans, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
- Advocate for clients' needs and support them in accessing community resources, services, and accommodations.
