Occupational Therapist (OT)
About The Position
HealthPro Heritage is hiring a PRN Occupational Therapist to support Ridgecrest Community Care Center, a long-term care facility with skilled nursing and senior living, in West Monroe, Louisiana. The role provides services as needed, with availability to support both weekdays and weekends. Compensation is $55–$60 per hour. The position offers a flexible schedule and a supportive management team. The Occupational Therapist evaluates clients’ physical, emotional, and cognitive abilities, develops personalized treatment plans, and educates clients and families on daily activities, adaptive equipment, and environmental modifications. The role also includes documenting evaluations and progress, advocating for clients, and supporting access to community resources and accommodations. The work requires the ability to lift and assist patients, stand for extended periods, and perform therapy-related physical tasks.
Requirements
- Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist, or eligibility for licensure.
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
- Proficiency in developing and implementing effective treatment plans.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to lift and assist patients as needed.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks related to therapy.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate clients’ physical, emotional, and cognitive abilities through observations and standardized tools.
- Develop personalized treatment plans to meet clients’ goals and enhance functional abilities.
- Educate clients and families on improving daily activities, including the use of adaptive equipment and environmental modifications.
- Maintain accurate records of evaluations, progress, and treatment plans in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
- Advocate for clients’ needs and support them in accessing community resources, services, and accommodations.
