About The Position

Stern at Home Therapy is hiring Occupational Therapists to evaluate and treat primarily geriatric patients in their homes throughout the Bronx, New York. The role provides one-on-one care, individualized treatment plans, and clinical autonomy, without double-booking or productivity quotas. Clinicians can manage their availability and caseload and choose among PRN, part-time W-2, full-time salary, full-time W-2 per-visit, or full-time 1099 contractor arrangements. Compensation depends on the selected arrangement and visit volume; full-time 1099 clinicians may earn up to $145,000 annually. W-2 benefits may include medical, dental, and vision insurance, PTO, paid holidays, a 401(k), student loan repayment, CEU support, commuter support, a wellness stipend, childcare assistance, and provided equipment. Administrative scheduling and coordination support is available, along with cancellation protection through the Stern Scheduling Assurance Plan. Onboarding is typically completed quickly, and shadowing is available for OTs new to home health.

Requirements

• An active Occupational Therapist (OT) license in New York.
• Reliable transportation.
• Strong clinical, communication, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently in a home-based setting.

Nice To Haves

• Home health experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform occupational therapy evaluations and develop individualized plans of care.
• Provide one-on-one treatments based on each patient's functional needs and goals.
• Manage individualized treatment plans with clinical autonomy.
• Help patients improve independence, safety, mobility, upper extremity function, and ability to perform activities of daily living.
• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Communicate with patients, families, physicians, and medical team members.
• Coordinate with the administrative team regarding scheduling, patient care, and logistics.
• Manage caseload based on availability and employment structure.
