Occupational Therapist
About The Position
The Occupational Therapist conducts and assesses ongoing resident assessments and is responsible for developing and maintaining therapeutic services and resident care. This includes creating individual programs to help residents participate in basic activities of daily living (ADLs), regulate behavior, and maintain physical functioning. The Occupational Therapist collaborates with clinical team members and other medical professionals and reports to the Program Director. The position is part-time at the Courtyard at Idylwood, a 106-bed skilled nursing facility serving people with combined medical and behavioral needs. Services include skilled nursing and clinical programming addressing behavioral needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in occupational therapy.
- Current registration with NBCOT.
- California licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
Responsibilities
- Conduct and assess ongoing assessments of residents.
- Develop and maintain therapeutic services and resident care.
- Develop individual programs to support residents’ participation in basic ADLs, behavioral regulation, and maintenance of physical functioning.
- Collaborate with clinical team members and other medical professionals.
