About The Position
Join the dedicated team at a prominent health facility in Lansing, Michigan, seeking a knowledgeable Nurse Practitioner specializing in Neonatology. This state-of-the-art hospital features a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, providing critical care to vulnerable patients. You will be stepping into a vital role during a time of transition, ensuring the highest quality of care for neonates.
Requirements
- Board certification from ANCC, AANP, NCCPA, or equivalent.
- Active Michigan state license; no new license candidates will be accepted.
- Current NRP certification (Advanced Provider or Instructor).
- Demonstrated experience in Neonatology; new graduates are not acceptable.
- Strong clinical skills and a commitment to patient care.
- Must hold an active Michigan state license upon name clearance.
- Board certification is required.
- Current NRP certification is mandatory.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive care for neonates in the Inpatient Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
- Attend deliveries and perform neonatal resuscitation.
- Administer procedures including PICC line placement, umbilical line placement, needle aspiration, and chest tube placement.
- Collaborate with supervising physicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Manage an average caseload of 10–12 patients per day.
- Utilize electronic documentation through the Epic system.
- Participate in weekend shifts as required.
