About The Position

Requirements

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school; active Alabama medical license; Board-Certified in Pediatrics or Family Medicine; current CPR and PALS certifications required OR Active AL APRN licensure and DEA.
• Minimum 2 years in pediatrics or urgent care preferred.
• Strong clinical judgment, ability to provide evidence-based care, and comfort managing a wide range of acute pediatric cases.
• Proficiency with EMR systems and common software tools.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate families and work effectively within a team.

Responsibilities

• Deliver timely evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for non-emergent pediatric illnesses and injuries.
• Apply sound clinical judgment to determine appropriate interventions, diagnostic testing, and follow-up care plans.
• Clearly and compassionately educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment options, and next steps.
• Ensure accurate, thorough, and timely documentation of patient encounters in compliance with clinical guidelines and regulatory standards.
• Serve as a collaborating physician for Advanced Practice Clinicians, providing oversight, guidance, and support in accordance with state regulations and organizational standards.
