Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) - Radiation Oncology
About The Position
The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) provides healthcare services to patients in collaboration with a licensed physician member of the medical staff and within the parameters of a standard care or supervisory agreement. The APP collaborates with physicians and other clinicians to provide a full scope of patient care, including care during acute and chronic phases of illness, education and counseling for individuals and families, health promotion and prevention, and referrals to other healthcare providers and community resources when appropriate. The focus is on preventive health or management of acute and/or stable chronic conditions. The APP performs medical services specifically authorized and directed by the credentialing body and certifying organization through which they hold licensure.
Requirements
- For the nurse practitioner pathway: current certificate of authority to practice as an APRN in Ohio.
- For the nurse practitioner pathway: graduate of a Nurse Practitioner program that qualifies the graduate to sit for a national certifying organization examination recognized by the Ohio Board of Nursing.
- For the nurse practitioner pathway: Master of Science degree in Nursing.
- For the physician assistant pathway: master's preparation and graduation from a PA-C program qualifying the graduate to sit for the certification examination recognized by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- For the physician assistant pathway: eligibility for State of Ohio licensure as a PA-C.
- Zero years of relevant experience required.

Responsibilities
