About The Position

MinuteClinic, part of CVS Health, is hiring a clinic-based provider to deliver high-quality, evidence-based primary and family care. The role focuses on in-person patient care, with virtual visits conducted from the clinic when onsite patient volume is lower and virtual care will not delay or interfere with in-person care. Providers receive clinical and organizational support and are expected to practice at the top of their license. The provider assesses, diagnoses, treats, and manages acute and chronic conditions; performs diagnostic testing and preventive counseling; treats injuries and illnesses; and coordinates care with other healthcare professionals. The position also supports wellness services, chronic disease management, preventive screenings, and essential clinic operations. Charting and follow-up are completed during the scheduled shift. The posting describes qualifications for both Nurse Practitioners and Physician Associates. NP requirements include a master’s degree from an accredited Family Nurse Practitioner program, current AANP or ANCC board certification, an active unrestricted state APRN/FNP license, and active BLS certification. The role requires physical presence at the assigned clinic and the ability to pass a respirator fit test. The position is full-time, with 30 anticipated weekly hours. The stated pay range is $41.85–$90.13 per hour.

Requirements

Master’s degree from an accredited Family Nurse Practitioner program.
Current national board certification from AANP or ANCC.
Active, unrestricted Family Nurse Practitioner license in good standing; the education section also specifies an active, unrestricted state APRN license.
Obtain and maintain multi-state licensure based on business needs.
Ability to provide holistic, evidence-based care, including counseling related to pregnancy prevention, STI prevention, and safer sex practices.
Ability to order and administer vaccines and injections, including COVID-19, influenza, TB testing, and Depo-Provera.
Complete a DOT certification exam within 30 days of employment.
Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Ability to pass a respirator fit test.
Physical presence at the assigned clinic is required.
Ability to perform duties involving prolonged standing, walking, bending, and reaching, and to perform Basic Life Support.
Bilingual proficiency may be required depending on market needs.
One year of NP experience is preferred; qualified new graduates may be considered.

Nice To Haves

Experience with the EPIC electronic health record.
Prior MinuteClinic precepting rotation, particularly for providers with less than one year of experience; preferred but not required.
Experience conducting patient assessments and exercising sound clinical decision-making in a virtual care environment.
Familiarity with digital health tools and virtual communication technologies.

Responsibilities

Deliver evidence-based primary and family care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute and chronic conditions.
Provide in-person and virtual visits from the clinic to support positive patient health outcomes.
Perform diagnostic testing and preventive counseling; treat injuries and illnesses; and coordinate care with other healthcare professionals.
Engage patients in wellness services, chronic disease management, and preventive health screenings.
Complete clinic operations, including inventory management, clinic opening and closing, patient follow-up, insurance verification, and payment collection.
Support a safe and efficient care environment through routine examinations and timely patient appointment management.
Complete charting and follow-up during the scheduled shift.
