• Operate meat department equipment and computer systems

• Exposure to refrigerated environments (around 35°F) and freezers (as low as -20°F)

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Trim, cut, wrap, tray, grind, weigh, and display fresh meat.
• Build meat and seafood displays; rotate and discard outdated or spoiled products.
• Ensure product quality, trimming, grinding, packaging, labeling, rotation, and wrapping standards are met.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work area, equipment, and display areas.
• Follow department standards for handling quick-sale items and ensure proper code dating.
• Assist with inventory control, stocking, and rotating products.
• Operate and maintain meat cooler, freezer, and butcher block.
• Use equipment such as pallet jacks, hand trucks, knives, grinders, saws, and labeling machines.
• Complete and monitor daily logs, production charts, and other required paperwork.
• Comply with safety regulations and company policies.
