About The Position

Sodexo is seeking a Field Marketing Specialist for Minnesota State University-Mankato located in Mankato, MN. Marketing is focused on growth strategies for increasing sales for the unit, improving customer satisfaction and promoting Sodexo’s Brand. Sodexo provides college campuses with food, nutrition, environmental, and facilities management solutions. Requirements

  • strong marketing background and writing skills
  • strategic leadership, talent management, as well as exceptional communication and project management skills
  • strong computer skills, with a preference for experience with Scala
  • best in class presentation skills, with extensive PowerPoint experience
  • team development skills
  • client relationship skills and the ability to quickly respond to client and management needs
  • the ability to meet multiple deadlines and manage workload
  • Minimum Education Requirement - High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute marketing strategies that drive participation, revenue growth, customer satisfaction, and retention across dining, catering, retail, and meal plan programs
  • Lead customer insight initiatives through surveys, focus groups, digital engagement, and data analysis to better understand student needs and improve the customer experience
  • Manage internal and external communications across websites, social media, marketing campaigns, innovation sharing, and best-practice storytelling
  • Build collaborative relationships with campus partners, student groups, dining leadership, and community stakeholders to support engagement and joint initiatives
  • Plan and execute promotions, events, sampling activities, and campus-wide campaigns that increase awareness and enrich the student dining experience
  • Maintain a strong on-site presence to promote programs, enhance brand visibility, and serve as a key marketing contact on campus
  • Provide hands-on creative support including event set-up, signage, food photography, and marketing materials development
  • Develop and maintain standardized marketing calendars, promotional plans, and eCommerce initiatives that are easy for teams to execute and support business goals
