About The Position

Requirements

• Prior marina, boating, resort, or hospitality operations experience required.
• Basic computer skills including POS systems, scheduling software, and Microsoft/Google applications.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, holidays, and variable shifts.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and perform physical tasks including bending, stooping, and working outdoors.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Supervisory or lead experience strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of marina operations, boating safety, fueling systems, and basic maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing daily marina operations including moorage, fuel dock, small boats, houseboats, and dock facilities.
• Ensure marinas, docks, ramps, and waterfront areas are clean, safe, properly moored, and fully operational.
• Oversee fueling, pump-out, propane handling, and related safety inspections.
• Monitor water, sewer, electrical systems, shut-off valves, and marina infrastructure.
• Coordinate minor maintenance and repairs; communicate larger maintenance needs to appropriate departments.
• Monitor boat movement, docking, anchoring, and traffic flow to ensure safe ingress and egress.
• Supervise, support, and provide direction to marina attendants, fuel dock staff, small boat teams, houseboat crews, and related operational staff.
• Assist with employee training, onboarding, coaching, and performance accountability.
• Help coordinate schedules, breaks, overtime, and coverage based on operational needs and business levels.
• Promote teamwork, safety awareness, and a positive work environment across departments.
• Enforce resort policies, safety standards, and operational procedures.
• Maintain a strong presence on the docks and guest-facing areas to ensure excellent customer service.
• Resolve guest concerns, complaints, and operational issues promptly and professionally.
• Ensure staff consistently greet guests, provide assistance, and maintain a hospitality-focused approach.
• Ensure guests receive proper orientation on boat operation, safety procedures, and resort amenities.
• Serve as a liaison between marina operations, front desk, reservations, maintenance, and management teams.
• Assist with moorage contracts, billing accuracy, and compliance with marina house rules.
• Support cash-handling procedures, POS transactions, deposits, and inventory controls.
• Assist with daily reports, inspections, documentation, and compliance tracking.
• Ensure staff follow accounting, inventory, and documentation standards.
• Support special projects and operational initiatives as assigned by management.
• Enforce all safety policies related to fueling, chemicals, equipment, and water operations.
• Ensure proper inspections are completed (fuel systems, fire extinguishers, sewage systems, equipment).
• Respond appropriately to medical emergencies, incidents, and accidents.
• Promote “clean as you go” practices and high standards of cleanliness throughout marina facilities.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, operational, and resort safety regulations.
