About The Position

This Individual will take an ownership stake in the opening of the property by managing pre-opening tasks during ramp-up. They will interview, hire, and train new team members for property launch. The role involves managing onsite staff, driving employee satisfaction scores, and striving for operational excellence, with a significant focus on Housekeeping operations and building maintenance. Responsibilities include ensuring property preventative maintenance is followed, coordinating with vendors for optimal property repairs while managing costs, and maintaining the condition of the property and FF&E in guest units, public areas, and BOH. The General Manager will develop and implement best practices to optimize occupancy, net rates, social and listing marketing, and overall guest experience. They will also manage and grow vendor relationships and costs, foster relationships between ownership and management, oversee property expenses, manage monthly checkbooks, and provide month-end critiques. Additionally, the role supports property sales through site tours, property tours, and events, and involves building community partnerships.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of hospitality leadership experience.
  • Previous experience with heart of house operations preferred.
  • Previous experience managing Housekeeping operations and Laundry.
  • Experienced in recruiting and on-boarding new employees to scale an elite team.
  • Critical thinking, able to find out-of-the-box solutions to drive results.
  • Drives culture by leading from the front, effective communication, daily standups and team meetings.
  • Tech Savvy to manage all inventory of systems and products like keypads, locks, and key access boxes.
  • Able to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance.
