About The Position

The Senior Manager, Walmart Academy Health & Wellness Learning, leads innovative learning strategies that build associate capabilities, strengthen performance, and create meaningful development experiences. The role partners across the business to turn critical needs into high-impact, application-focused learning solutions, use insights and data to continuously improve, and develop talent. The position influences how associates learn, grow, and succeed while supporting Health & Wellness customers and communities. The Walmart Academy Learning team designs and delivers learning experiences for Health and Wellness associates, building skills for current roles and future growth. The team works with business partners to develop practical strategies that strengthen leadership, operational excellence, and support large-scale change. It uses application-focused design, real-time feedback, and data insights to refine learning approaches across facilities and foster a culture of learning, growth, and feedback. The Senior Manager leads the design, development, and implementation of learning and development strategies aligned with business objectives. The role oversees training program creation and evaluation, manages and mentors associates, identifies learning gaps with stakeholders, analyzes program effectiveness, ensures policy compliance and ethical standards, and drives continuous improvement using industry benchmarks and best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Communications, Education, or a related field and 4 years of experience in adult learning, training content development, or a related area; or 6 years of experience in adult learning, training content development, or a related area.
  • Proven leadership experience in learning and development, including training design, delivery, and evaluation.
  • Expertise in developing and implementing learning strategies aligned with business goals.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to consult and collaborate across functions.
  • Proficiency in instructional design and content development for blended learning solutions.
  • Ability to analyze performance data to measure program effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.
  • Experience managing complex projects and adapting plans to meet evolving organizational needs.
  • Excellent communication skills to influence, coach, and develop associates and teams.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the creation and evaluation of training programs, ensuring alignment with operational needs and performance standards.
  • Manage and mentor associates, foster a collaborative team environment, and support continuous professional growth.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify learning gaps and recommend solutions to enhance capability development.
  • Monitor program effectiveness through data analysis and adjust initiatives to improve outcomes and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and promote ethical standards across learning activities.
  • Drive continuous improvement by benchmarking industry standards and integrating best practices.
