About The Position

We’re seeking a curious, flexible, and driven Associate Director of Leadership and Professional Development (LPD) to join our People and Talent team. You’ll make an impact every day as you seek to understand the development and training needs of EdPlus employees and support EdPlus leaders by leading employee growth programs and activities. ASU EdPlus is a dynamic unit of Arizona State University focused on the design and scalable delivery of digital teaching and learning models to increase student success and reduce barriers to achievement in higher education. We advance the economic, social, cultural, and overall health of the local, national, and international communities served by ASU. Every day you will make a difference in the lives of others by aligning with leaders to recommend and execute LPD strategy. You will assess LPD needs; develop and manage LPD programs to address those needs; and leverage in-person, online, and partner resources to promote employee growth in ways that support the EdPlus employee experience and culture tenets. You will collaborate closely with and serve as the EdPlus liaison with the ASU Office of Human Resources Talent Development department and other LPD leaders across the enterprise.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and seven (7) years of experience appropriate to the area of assignment/field including two (2) years managerial experience; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or training from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
  • Professional-level experience in curating resources and creating content and programs.
  • Evidence of a very high level of skill and professionalism in communicating, presenting, and facilitating.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-performing, results-driven environment subject to changing priorities and ambiguity.
  • Evidence of deep knowledge of adult learning theory, organizational effectiveness, employee development, and industry trends for leadership and professional development.
  • Evidence of a positive attitude, a willingness to get things done and help when needed, a curious mindset, and a solutions-based approach.
  • Experience working in higher education.
  • Applicant must be eligible to work in the United States.
  • ASU EdPlus will not be a sponsor for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Executing on LPD strategy as determined by leadership.
  • Assessing needs and program effectiveness; recommending, creating, and facilitating programs; and curating content to support employee and manager needs.
  • Promoting EdPlus, ASU, and external LPD opportunities.
  • Collaborating with and serving as the EdPlus liaison with the ASU Office of Human Resources Talent Development team and other LPD leaders across the enterprise.
  • Providing data and reports on LPD.
  • Managing and evaluating assigned employees.
  • Assuming or coordinating other duties or projects as directed.
