About The Position

The Manager, Learning & Development – Product Training & Certification independently designs, develops, delivers, and evaluates external product education and certification programs through Walmart Connect Academy for advertisers and agency learners. The role translates business priorities and external learner needs into accessible, engaging learning experiences that build advertising solution knowledge, practical application, and measurable learning outcomes.

The Product Training & Certification team designs, develops, and delivers product education and certification programs for internal associates and external partners. The team creates learning strategies and content aligned with business goals, collaborates cross-functionally, conducts needs assessments, supports performance management, applies instructional design principles, and uses e-learning tools to improve learning experiences.

This position consults with cross-functional partners and subject matter experts to identify learner needs, performance gaps, business priorities, and suitable learning solutions. It develops product certifications and progressive learning pathways for external advertisers and agencies, creates blended learning experiences, manages learning projects and stakeholder reviews, and uses learning data and feedback to improve program effectiveness.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Communications, Education, or a related field and 2 years’ experience in adult learning, training content development, or a related area; or 4 years’ experience in adult learning, training content development, or a related area.
• Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in learning experience design, instructional design, product training, or advertiser education in an enterprise environment.
• Ability to independently manage learning projects, consult with stakeholders, and design and develop learning across multiple modalities.
• Proficiency with authoring and content development tools such as Evolve, Vyond, Canva, Camtasia, Adobe Creative Suite, or PowerPoint.
• Experience creating assessments, evaluating learning results, and using data to improve learner experiences.
• Working knowledge of accessibility, digital learning UX/UI, content quality assurance, and version control.
• Strong written and verbal communication, facilitation, collaboration, and storytelling skills.
• Portfolio demonstrating instructional design work.

Responsibilities

• Consult with cross-functional partners and subject matter experts to identify learner needs, performance gaps, business priorities, and fit-for-purpose learning solutions.
• Conduct needs analyses and define measurable learning objectives aligned to learner personas and business outcomes.
• Design, develop, and maintain product certifications and progressive 101/201/301 learning pathways for external advertisers and agencies.
• Create blended learning experiences, including instructor-led training, eLearning, microlearning, video, simulations, assessments, and performance support.
• Apply adult learning, instructional design, UX/UI, and accessibility principles.
• Manage learning projects, stakeholder reviews, feedback, risks, and approvals.
• Analyze learning data and feedback to improve effectiveness.
• Build, test, quality-assure, and maintain accurate, accessible learning content.
