About The Position

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution.
• At least 10 years progressive Human Resources experience specifically within a manufacturing site.
• 5+ years of managerial experience leading people.
• Candidate must be fully bi-lingual (English/Spanish) to communicate at a business level.
• This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. ‘Green Card Holder’), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

Responsibilities

• Act as a business partner, strategic solution provider, advisor and counselor for the Conveyance business unit.
• Directly manage the 4 Manufacturing ITD Mfg. locations (Camarillo, CA; Nogales,MX; Tijuana MX; Santiago, Dominican Republic) HRBP which includes the recruitment, evaluation, and development of HR professionals & managers to meet the strategic needs of the business.
• Identify, develop and deploy business-driven HR strategies designed to attract, manage, develop, motivate and retain key people while creating a high-performance, sustainable organization capable of achieving the business objectives and action plans.
• Engage with the sites to maintain positive employee relations and strong relationships. Oversee terminations and criminal reviews, and cooperate with the Ethics Office on critical issues and investigations for the designated client group.
• Develop, recommend and implement HR policies and procedures, assuring that HR policies and practices comply with the applicable provisions of federal and state labor laws including the maintenance of necessary files. Keep employees informed of policy changes and counsel accordingly.
• Leverages talent acquisition best practices to facilitate a broad pool of qualified candidates to fill roles in a timely and cost-effective manner.
• Lead and manage the performance management system to drive high performance and provide coaching to business leaders on effective performance management intervention.
• Participate in HR Operating Reviews and support sites to continuously improve on OpA.
• Work with HR Managers to develop education/training programs to meet the needs of their workforce.
• Act as the HR Lead for any manufacturing footprint projects, aiding in determining strategy and driving to completion.
• Promote the company’s mission and vision by actively supporting Eaton’s ethics and values as well as quality policies.
• Partner with the ITD Division HR Team to contribute to and execute our talent strategy including providing feedback and developing a viable sustainable succession pipeline using tools like Talent Hub.
• Lead the division’s Employee Listening communication plan and action planning.
• Drive compensation planning activities and contribute to compensation and recognition programs to enforce competitive pay practices and reward for superior performance.
