About The Position

This role involves providing professional, friendly, and efficient beverage service to hotel guests. The Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to hotel standards and recipes, maintaining cleanliness and organization of bar areas, and ensuring compliance with alcohol service laws and company policies. The position also involves accurate cash handling, supporting guest satisfaction, and assisting with inventory control and stocking.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous bartending, restaurant, or hospitality experience preferred
  • Knowledge of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, cocktails, beer, and wine service
  • Prepare and cook items from the hotel’s bar food menu in accordance with hotel recipes, food safety standards and presentation guidelines
  • Ability to accurately handle cash, credit card transactions, and point-of-sale systems
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed
  • Knowledge of responsible alcohol service and local liquor laws
  • Food Handler Certification and Responsible Beverage Service Certification preferred or required based on local regulations

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional, friendly, and efficient beverage service to hotel guests
  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to hotel standards and recipes
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and sanitation of bar areas and equipment
  • Ensure compliance with all alcohol service laws and company policies
  • Maintain accurate cash handling and transaction procedures
  • Support overall guest satisfaction through attentive and courteous service
  • Assist with inventory control, stocking, and minimizing product waste
  • Greet guests promptly and provide excellent customer service
  • Take beverage and food orders accurately and efficiently
  • Prepare cocktails, mixed drinks, beer, wine, and other beverages according to established recipes and standards
  • Verify guest age identification and monitor responsible alcohol consumption
  • Operate point-of-sale systems and process guest payments accurately
  • Maintain clean and organized bar stations, storage areas, and service areas
  • Restock liquor, mixers, garnishes, glassware, and supplies as needed
  • Monitor inventory levels and notify management of shortages or supply needs
  • Wash and sanitize glassware, bar tools, and equipment
  • Follow proper opening and closing procedures for the bar area
  • Assist servers and other staff members during busy periods
  • Maintain knowledge of current drink menus, promotions, and hotel services
  • Report equipment malfunctions, safety concerns, or guest issues to management promptly
  • Follow all company safety, sanitation, and emergency procedures
