About The Position

Bar Sprezzatura, located in the historic Heathman Hotel, is an Italian-inspired bar and restaurant serving lunch by day and aperitivo and cicchetti in the evening. The Bartender is responsible for preparing impeccable cocktails, providing warm hospitality, and creating an engaging guest experience. The role combines storytelling, hosting, and craft, while upholding service standards and fostering connection with guests at the bar. The Bartender is part of the beverage team and helps educate and enthrall guests through knowledge of spirits, wine, beer, food, and beverages. The ideal candidate is organized, friendly, detail-oriented, creative, curious, team-focused, composed under pressure, and eager to learn and lead among peers. The role requires the ability to lift and move 40 pounds and to stand and walk for extended periods.

Requirements

2–4 years of experience in a fine-dining or casual fine-dining, high-volume bar or restaurant.
Exceptional communication skills.
Expansive food and beverage knowledge.
Experience in beverage recipe development and staff education.
Intellectual curiosity.
Ability to work cleanly, stay organized, and work as part of a team.
Ability to move and lift 40 pounds at a time.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Ability to stand and walk for an extended period of time.
