About The Position
Fantom Corporation is seeking a Security Engineer to support a mission-critical enterprise and be responsible for the security of multiple applications. The role safeguards IT infrastructure and helps ensure systems are secure, accessible, compatible across platforms, healthy, performant, and operationally available. The engineer also develops incident response and recovery plans, performs risk assessments, and builds security policies.
Requirements
- Active Top Secret clearance.
- Willingness and ability to obtain a polygraph.
- Bachelor’s degree with 10 or more years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree with less than 2 years of relevant experience.
- Strong experience with Linux, Python, and SIEM tools.
- Strong technical expertise, including mentorship responsibilities and delivering process optimization.
- Cross-team collaboration experience and use of secure software development practices.
Responsibilities
- Produce incident response and recovery plans.
- Safeguard IT infrastructure, including software, hardware, and intrusion detection.
- Perform risk assessments.
- Build a security policy.
- Ensure accessibility and cross-platform compatibility.
- Monitor system health, user metrics, performance, and operational availability.
- Collaborate across teams, use secure software development practices, provide technical mentorship, and deliver process optimization.
