About The Position

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field and 4 years of experience in software engineering or a related area; alternatively, 6 years of experience in software engineering or a related area.
• Experience with requirements analysis, including risk assessment, business alignment, user stories, and classification of functional and non-functional requirements.
• Experience with architecture and design of scalable distributed systems, design patterns, detailed specifications, and MVP development.
• Workday expertise, including Studio integrations, EIB, Payroll Effective Change Interface, Core Connectors, and custom reporting.
• Experience creating maintainable code, conducting code reviews, automating CI/CD pipelines, and enforcing security.
• Experience with comprehensive test strategies, tool selection, test case development, and defect identification; tools mentioned include Selenium, Jira, and Eggplant.
• Experience with client discovery workshops, architecture assessment, design sessions, and implementation planning.
• Technical leadership experience in system integration testing, defect resolution, risk mitigation, and stakeholder communication.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies, DevOps practices, secure coding standards, and full software development lifecycle management.
• Ability to bridge business requirements with technical solutions and deliver high-quality, scalable outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and evaluate application performance by tracking and analyzing appropriate metrics.
• Perform corrective, adaptive, and perfective maintenance and re-engineering activities.
• Analyze application logs, maintenance activity data, and performance data, and provide analysis.
• Evaluate change requests to determine whether they are valid and feasible.
• Research industry practices, benchmark them against internal processes and solutions, and help define software development guidelines, standards, and processes.
• Assist in designing solutions and product components that work together, evaluating design trade-offs against business requirements.
• Convert high-level designs into detailed designs using mock screens, pseudocode, and detailed module logic.
• Select appropriate frameworks, platforms, and environments for software coding, configuration, and scripting.
• Guide the team on coding patterns, languages, and frameworks in line with industry trends, while driving scalability and security.
• Drive implementation of telemetry features by determining domain data and metrics requirements.
• Conduct ad hoc software code reviews to ensure baseline mitigations for known risks.
• Create or configure code for products and systems and ensure they meet business and non-functional requirements, maintainability, availability, and scalability needs.
• Oversee team code execution to ensure alignment with specified technical and business requirements.
• Arrange project requirements into a programming sequence by analyzing the requirements.
• Develop maintainable code, conduct code reviews, automate CI/CD pipelines, enforce security, and support testing and defect identification.
• Engage clients in discovery workshops, architecture assessments, design sessions, and implementation planning.
• Provide technical leadership for system integration testing, defect resolution, risk mitigation, and stakeholder communication.
