Micro Lens Lead Engineer

About The Position

This role is the owner of micro-lens material development and fabrication process. The engineer will work with optical designers to generate micro-lens array designs, collaborate closely with material suppliers to develop advanced lens materials, and work with partners to develop wafer-level lens replication processes. The position also involves designing testing plans to ensure results meet product requirements, specifying and overseeing material reliability and qualification testing, and overseeing the transition from prototype to high-volume manufacturing.

Requirements

  • Master’s, or Ph.D. in Materials Science, Optics, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience with wafer level optics.
  • Deep knowledge of material selection for micro lens applications.
  • Cleanroom process experience.
  • Experience with optical modelling software (Zemax, Lumerical, LightTools etc.).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Excellent teamwork and interpersonal/communication skills within the company and with partners, customers, and consultants.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.
