About The Position

Requirements

• Bilingual Spanish speaking is required.
• Reliable transportation is required.
• A current driver’s license, insurance, and vehicle registration are required.
• Completion of required evidence-based home visiting training, postpartum Doula training, and certification is mandatory.
• Ability to perform the essential duties of the position, with reasonable accommodations available for individuals with disabilities.

Nice To Haves

• A bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in elementary education, early childhood education, psychology, human services, or another related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Make home visits and provide support in parent and child development using the evidence-based Parents as Teachers program.
• Provide prenatal education and postpartum practical, emotional, and educational support to new mothers, including newborn care, infant feeding, and light household tasks.
• Maintain related files and records and complete program-related data entry.
• Participate in team meetings, reflective supervision, and home visit observations to ensure fidelity to the program model.
• Plan individual and group activities with children and parents to stimulate children’s language, social, and motor skills, including teen parenting instruction.
• Assist with planning and implementing Group Connections and Parent Cafes for new parents.
• Collaborate with community partners and human service agencies to link families to resources.
• Refer participants to schools, early intervention programs, mental health services, and other resources as needed.
• Provide follow-up to families as needed and maintain required records.
• Participate in a team process focused on best practices for serving participating families, the community, and Outreach.
• Represent the agency professionally at public events as needed.
• Complete required evidence-based home visiting training, postpartum Doula training, and certification.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
