Custodian Jobs

This is a temporary, part-time Custodian position with a maximum of 32 hours per week, in accordance with City of Fort Lauderdale policy. The position is at-will and is not covered by a collective bargaining agreement or the Personnel Rules. The employee performs manual custodial and semi-skilled facility maintenance work, including cleaning buildings and restrooms, removing trash and debris, stocking bathroom supplies, and completing minor repairs and maintenance. Employees may be required to work immediately before, during, or after an emergency and must be available to work assigned shifts as determined by their Department Head. The physical standards required depend on the work assignment and location. Applicants may be subject to selection and screening steps such as evaluation of training and experience, testing, skills assessment, interviews, employment checks, a background investigation, medical examination, and drug screening.
