School Custodian
About The Position
Campus Services Group (CSG) is seeking a dedicated School Custodian to maintain a clean and safe environment within its facilities. The custodian works closely with staff and students to help the school meet high cleanliness standards. The position is located at 975 Westtown Rd, West Chester, PA 19382, and is scheduled Monday through Friday, 3–11 p.m. Public transportation is not available at this location. A retention bonus is offered as additional compensation. The starting pay rate is $16.00 per hour. The role involves routine janitorial and cleaning work in assigned areas, following schedules, quality standards, safety guidance, and infection-control practices. The position requires standing and walking for 6–8 hours daily and the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds. Employees must be able to work around food and cleaning products, complete responsibilities independently after training, and comply with applicable COVID-19 vaccination policies and criminal-background-check requirements. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous custodial or janitorial experience in a school setting preferred.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
- Willingness to perform routine tasks consistently.
- Ability to complete all responsibilities without supervision after training.
- Punctuality and reliability for scheduled shifts.
- Ability to stand and walk for 6–8 hours daily.
- Ability to lift and carry, and push and pull, a maximum of 50 pounds.
- Ability to work around food and cleaning products.
- Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies, as required by state, local, and/or customer requirements.
- Must provide a criminal background check.

Responsibilities
- Perform janitorial and cleaning tasks in assigned areas in accordance with quality standards and safety guidelines.
- Use protective gear during all cleaning functions.
- Complete cleaning assignments on schedule.
- Report equipment or cleaning-product needs and malfunctions to supervisors.
- Dust mop and damp mop floors in classrooms and common spaces.
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms, classrooms, and common areas.
- Remove trash, empty wastebaskets, and perform related assigned duties.
- Respond promptly to paging-system alerts and customer requests.
- Follow infection-control procedures and universal precautions to maintain a sanitary environment.
