About The Position

Campus Services Group (CSG) is seeking a School Custodian to maintain clean and safe facilities and meet high cleanliness standards while working with school staff and students. The role includes cleaning and sanitizing classrooms, bathrooms, common areas, and floors; removing trash; responding to customer requests; and following safety and infection-control practices. The custodian must complete assigned work on schedule and, after training, carry out responsibilities without supervision.

Requirements

• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Willingness to perform routine tasks consistently.
• Ability to complete all responsibilities without supervision after training.
• Punctuality and reliability for scheduled shifts.
• Ability to stand and walk for 6–8 hours daily.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull a maximum of 50 pounds.
• Ability to work around food and cleaning products.
• Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies, as required by state, local, and/or customer requirements.
• Must provide a criminal background check.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous custodial or janitorial experience in a school setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial and cleaning tasks in assigned areas while meeting quality standards and safety guidelines.
• Use protective gear during all cleaning functions.
• Complete cleaning assignments on schedule.
• Report equipment or cleaning-product needs and malfunctions to supervisors.
• Dust mop and damp mop floors in classrooms and common spaces.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms, classrooms, and common areas.
• Remove trash, empty wastebaskets, and perform related duties as assigned.
• Respond promptly to paging system alerts and customer requests.
• Follow infection-control practices and universal precautions to maintain a sanitary environment.
