About The Position

Red River Animal Emergency Hospital & Referral Center is seeking a full-time Maintenance Custodian in Fargo, North Dakota. The role helps maintain the cleanliness, safety, and appearance of the hospital and supports employees, clients, and the pets they serve. The position pays $20.00 per hour and includes a competitive benefits package. The Maintenance Custodian cleans and disinfects treatment areas, offices, bathrooms, lobbies, and common spaces; manages laundry and waste; and keeps supplies stocked. The role also assists with minor repairs, coordinates with maintenance vendors when needed, maintains outdoor areas, and helps provide a safe environment for employees and visitors.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong communication skills.
Knowledge of infection control and hazardous waste handling and disposal.
Ability to clean, disinfect, organize, and stock with a high level of detail.
Ability to keep areas clean, stocked, and maintained daily.
Ability to bend, stand, stoop, move from room to room, sit, talk, listen, and walk or stand for long periods.
Ability to lift and/or move at least 50 pounds.
Knowledge of computers and relevant software applications at RRAEH, including isolved and W2W.
Willingness to accept constructive criticism from management staff and clinicians.
Ability to follow the appropriate chain of command.
