About The Position

Bishop is seeking part-time evening custodians to clean medical buildings, offices, or light industrial facilities according to each building’s cleaning specifications. The position offers flexible hours, with custodians able to work at their own pace and choose how much they work. Pay is weekly and is calculated per building; the stated compensation is $10–$14 per hour, with an average experienced custodian making $13 per hour. Custodians perform routine cleaning and sanitation, maintain orderly work areas, follow safety and cleaning procedures, and communicate with supervisors about quality, customer service, supplies, and unusual conditions. Employees record their arrival and departure times and use the company app on a personal smartphone.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Valid driver’s license.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Able to lift occasionally up to 40 pounds.
Personal smartphone with data capability.
Motivated and dependable, and able to work independently or with a group in a minimally supervised environment.
Attention to detail.
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
Ability to use mobile apps.
Must pass a background check.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

Clean floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
Collect trash and replace trash can liners.
Clean, sanitize, and supply restrooms.
Clean and polish furniture and fixtures.
Wipe windows, glass partitions, and mirrors.
Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment.
Dust and clean overhead vents.
Maintain orderliness and cleanliness of the custodian’s closet.
Communicate with the supervisor to ensure cleaning quality and customer service.
Follow all safety guidelines.
Use cleaning solutions, equipment, and tools according to specified procedures.
Report abnormal activities or conditions to management.
Ensure necessary chemicals and equipment are available and in working order.
Record arrival and departure times and communicate using the company app on a personal smartphone.
