Evening Custodian
About The Position
The Evening Custodian performs cleaning duties at one or more facilities using provided ServiceMaster products, tools, and procedures. Work includes cleaning common areas such as kitchens, lobbies, and break rooms, and maintaining cleaning supplies. Two schedule and pay options are listed. Option 1 pays $18 per hour and involves cleaning three nearby buildings on Mondays for a 13.5-hour shift starting at 7 a.m., and Wednesdays and Fridays for 11-hour shifts starting at 9 a.m. Option 2 pays $17.50 per hour for individual building schedules: Exchange on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.; Halsted on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.; and Warehouse on Mondays from 7 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. The Warehouse schedule may be combined with either of the first two schedules. The employer seeks a dedicated self-starter who can multitask and pay attention to detail.
Requirements
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
- Ability to use and differentiate between chemicals.
- Ability to follow instructions.
- Ability to bend, stoop, twist, and lift up to 20 pounds.
Responsibilities
- Perform facility cleaning duties using provided ServiceMaster products, tools, and procedures.
- Sweep, mop, polish, remove trash, and perform other cleaning duties.
- Clean common areas, including kitchens, lobbies, and break rooms, to ServiceMaster specifications.
- Maintain supplies, including clean towels, mops, and chemical refills.
