About The Position

Bishop is hiring part-time evening custodians to clean medical buildings, offices, or light industrial facilities according to each building’s cleaning specifications. The role offers flexible hours, the ability to work at an individual pace, and weekly pay. Custodians may work alone or with a group in a minimally supervised environment. Compensation is $10–$14 per hour; custodians are paid per building, and an average experienced custodian makes $13 per hour.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Valid driver’s license.
Must be 18 years of age.
Able to occasionally lift up to 40 pounds.
Personal smartphone with data usage capability.
Motivated and dependable, with the ability to work alone or with a group in a minimally supervised environment.
Attention to detail.
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
Must pass a background check.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Nice To Haves

Prior cleaning experience.
Ability to use mobile applications.

Responsibilities

Clean floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
Collect trash and replace trash can liners.
Clean, sanitize, and supply restrooms.
Clean and polish furniture and fixtures.
Wipe windows, glass partitions, and mirrors.
Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment.
Dust and clean overhead vents.
Maintain orderliness and cleanliness of the custodian’s closet.
Communicate with the supervisor to ensure cleaning quality and customer service.
Follow all safety guidelines.
Use cleaning solutions, equipment, and tools according to proper procedures and specifications.
Report abnormal activities or conditions to management.
Ensure needed chemicals and equipment are available and in working order.
Record arrival and departure times and communicate on the company app using a personal smartphone.
