About The Position

The Creative Director has a natural eye for design and a drive to inspire dynamic ideas that connect with all types of audiences. Expectations of Leaders at Angel Studios include amplifying light in every action, being empowered to break down silos and coordinate with others to reach goals, owning the success of team members (including hiring, onboarding, goals, performance management, raises, terminations), holding team members accountable, creating opportunities for initiative and ownership, and giving consistent and timely candid feedback with compassion. The role requires understanding the customer (viewers, investors, creators, or internal teams) and providing what they need. The Creative Director is responsible for achieving outcomes while using resources wisely.

Requirements

  • Understand shooting in every format (social media and YouTube).
  • Have substantial marketing experience.

  • Capable of managing workload and prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced corporate environment.
  • An exceptional listener with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
  • Detail-oriented perspective and able to pick up on overlooked details.
  • Organization and time management.
  • Able to maintain confidentiality of information.
  • Must be able to manage multiple assignments, set priorities, and adapt to changing conditions.
  • Resourceful and able to problem-solve and manage tasks with ambiguity.
  • Can take feedback to tasks and assignments positively and create better solutions.
  • A quick study, able to pick up new skills and learn how to use new programs.
  • Must participate in setting and achieving regularly scheduled and outlined objectives.
  • Ability to take individual ownership, execute with high energy, share context, insist on candor with positive intent.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.

  • Familiarity with Angel, the Angel Guild, and our body of work (films, series, and other projects).
  • Additional language proficiency is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Directing and building behind the scenes content.
  • Take a project/TV series and put together a comprehensive strategy of how we are telling the behind the scenes story and building a community around that TV series.
  • Write and orchestrate story.
  • Direct behind the scenes.
  • Supervise a cross-functional team of graphic designers, copywriters, social media experts, photographers/videographers, and project managers in the strategic development of messages and deliverables.
  • Prioritize work and resources across engagements based on short- and long-term needs, establishing production schedules by collaborating with designers, copywriters, and production departments.
  • Conduct brainstorming sessions with a creative team, maintaining strategic and creative thinking to develop innovative and actionable creative initiatives in a fiscally responsible manner.
  • Review and approve art and copy developed by the team, ensuring deliverables that effectively address marketing goals and challenges.
  • Produce fresh, innovative work that translates complex ideas into compelling print materials and digital experiences for visually sophisticated audiences.
  • Present, or oversee the presentation of final concepts, and obtain approvals for deliverables.
  • Build, lead, and review work of the creative team in the production of all web, print, and digital marketing collateral.
  • Spearhead and manage content strategy for both small-scale and large-scale projects, harnessing strategy, digital and brand design, compelling content, and technology.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and sales departments in developing marketing plans, analyzing results, and identifying opportunities.
  • Develop internal marketing campaigns that translate marketing objectives across business units into clear and motivating creative strategies.
  • Analyze brand tracking, market trends, consumer need, and the competitive landscape.
  • Meet budget standards by forecasting and managing expenses.
  • Must attend and contribute to regularly scheduled staff meetings.
  • Proficiency in speaking, reading and writing in the English language required. Additional language proficiency is a plus.
