Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Systems or a related field, plus five (5) years of post-bachelors progressive work experience in software development, or a related occupation.
  • Five (5) years of experience with designing, developing, testing, and maintaining full-stack or backend web applications.
  • Five (5) years of experience with programming languages including Java, Go, Python, Ruby, TypeScript, or JavaScript.
  • Five (5) years of experience with building and consuming REST or gRPC APIs.
  • Five (5) years of experience working with databases including PostgreSQL, mySQL, or NoSQL systems.
  • Five (5) years of experience with cloud environments including AWS, or GCP.
  • Five (5) years of experience with frontend frameworks including React, Vue or building product UIs.
  • Five (5) years of experience owning large components or projects and driving alignment with cross-functional partners.
  • Five (5) years of experience with debugging.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build internal products used daily by engineering, product, and cross-functional teams across Stripe.
  • Own end-to-end systems—spanning frontend, backend, data, and integrations—that remove bottlenecks and meaningfully increase product development velocity.
  • Collaborate with partner teams to understand workflows, define requirements, and build tools that improve iteration speed, quality, and clarity in the product lifecycle.
