About The Position
As an Experienced Software Engineer at JPMorganChase within the Global Technology team, you will serve as a member of an agile team designing and delivering trusted, market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. Depending on the team, your work may include developing mobile banking features, improving trading systems with big data, innovating payment solutions for merchants, or supporting the integration of private and public cloud platforms. The role involves designing and developing scalable, resilient systems; delivering and troubleshooting software solutions; creating secure, high-quality production code; contributing to application architecture and design; and analyzing large, diverse datasets to improve software applications and systems. JPMorganChase is hiring at Software Engineer II and Software Engineer III levels. Placement will be determined based on a skills-based assessment and interview.
Requirements
- Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Proficiency in Java or Python.
- Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages.
- Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle.
- Understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
- Knowledge of software applications and technical processes in a technical discipline such as cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or mobile.
- Authorization to work in the United States; employment-based immigration sponsorship and support for other immigration sponsorship or benefits, including OPT or CPT, are not provided.

Responsibilities
- Participate in designing and developing scalable, resilient systems using Java or Python, contributing to iterative product improvements.
- Execute software solution design and development, and perform technical troubleshooting.
- Create secure, high-quality production code and maintain algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems.
- Produce or contribute to application architecture and design artifacts, ensuring software code meets design constraints.
- Gather, analyze, synthesize, and visualize large, diverse datasets and create reporting to support continuous improvement of software applications and systems.
- Identify hidden problems and patterns in data and use the insights to improve coding hygiene and system architecture.
- Contribute to software engineering communities of practice and events exploring emerging technologies.
