About The Position

Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join its growing Battlespace Awareness team. The team develops mission-critical software and algorithms for multi-target tracking, data fusion, battle management, autonomous robotic control, and mission planning. In this role, the engineer will provide software engineering and development support for core team tools and, with a machine learning background, help establish ML infrastructure to improve system-parameter optimization and detect performance regressions in continuous integration. The position requires professional software development experience, solid engineering fundamentals, experience with low-latency or real-time systems and testing, and knowledge of machine learning methods. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States and eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance. Requirements

• Professional experience using one or more of Python, Rust, C++, or C, with a clear track record of professional use.
• Solid software engineering fundamentals, including object-oriented programming, functional programming, and REST API design.
• Experience building low-latency or real-time software.
• Experience with software testing, including Robot Framework testing and integration test development.
• Comfort using AI coding assistants such as Claude or Codex in day-to-day work.
• Experience with GitHub and CI/CD pipelines.
• Machine learning background, particularly in hyperparameter optimization, anomaly detection, and explainable ML (for example, Bayesian ML).
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with TypeScript or JavaScript, React, and/or NodeJS.
• Experience with PyTorch.
• Experience with Python FastAPI.
• Experience with CesiumJS.
• Experience with faster-than-real-time (FTRT) simulation.
• Experience building Slackbot integrations.
• A master's degree, PhD, or 2–3+ years of professional experience in machine learning, especially model deployment.
