About The Position

Requirements

• One year of retail or other sales-focused experience.
• Reliable transportation to service the designated store and market.
• Ability to travel to shows and/or sales meetings at least three times a year.
• Strong business acumen and ability to read, interpret, and act on relevant sales reporting.
• Strong knowledge of POS applications.
• Comprehensive knowledge of computers, iPads, mobile devices, and social media platforms.
• Commitment to scheduled hours and flexibility to work additional hours based on changing business needs.
• Strong time management and organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects at once.
• Ability to present a professional image and interact positively with the public.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills at all levels inside and outside the organization.
• Must pass the Color Certification Test within 60 days of hire to remain in the position.

Nice To Haves

• Licensed cosmetologist, highly preferred in the US and Canada.
• Working knowledge of retail sales, inventory control systems, and visual merchandising is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Determine customers’ color- and care-related needs and provide professional advice and recommendations.
• Communicate with customers, associates, vendors, and internal partners about calls, visits, orders, sales progress, follow-up plans, and assistance needed.
• Resolve customer concerns and questions in a timely, appropriate, and effective manner.
• Maintain color and curl merchandising, product placement, signage, and displays in accordance with brand guidelines.
• Stay informed about emerging trends and market changes, build industry knowledge, and adapt sales techniques to the competitive market.
• Conduct product education in store and virtually, and provide color and curl/texture consulting to professional beauty customers.
• Perform store opening and closing procedures; occasionally make bank deposits and handle cash or other monetary transactions.
