Under direct supervision, the Personal Banker provides exceptional customer service, involving receipt and payment of cash, while working in a high volume, sales environment. The role requires evaluating new and existing customer relationships and recommending bank products and services to support their financial success. The Personal Banker must follow established policies in accordance with the bank and the supervisor's direction, and is accountable for achieving monthly new account production goals assigned by upper management. This position involves active participation in a sales environment, which may include in-store aisle prospecting. Key duties include processing deposits and payments accurately, verifying amounts, checking for endorsements, guarding against counterfeit items, entering transactions, issuing receipts, and selling various bank products such as money orders, cashier's checks, bank-to-bank wires, and certificates of deposit. The role also involves processing Western Union wires and cash advances, cross-selling bank services, and providing services to a diverse customer base, including a large Spanish-speaking population. Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality are required, and approval limits are based on established authority levels. The Personal Banker will perform other tasks as requested by supervisors related to the bank and its functions.
